From 1999 to 2002, Celine Dion took a rest from the music industry to take care of her husband who had been diagnosed with throat cancer.  She also took fertility treatments to get pregnant.  The release of "A New Day Has Come" was a celebration of her new motherhood; as well, the birth of a new career.  

In 2002, Celine Dion signed a 3-year contract to perform in five nightly shows a week in a theatre-style performance at Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas.

"A New Day Has Come" was very successful around the world, and the song broke the record for the longest time at a Number One position, 21 weeks.  It became a part of her nightly song list in her Vegas show.
